Real cheap shot by hillstrand. Very immature to tell capt.keith to go kill his brother. jonathan showing his true colors…

  5. Real uncool, Hillstrand. My respect for you did take a tumble when I seen that cheap shot you landed on Keith. I’ve watched Deadliest Catch for 5 years now and I didn’t see anything that Keith did as being out of line. If I was running a fishing vessel and I knew of some top talent from other boats looking to find a way out, you better believe I would make an offer to that crew member. It’s called doing business. God Bless the USA and capitalism. And let’s face it, these crewmen are not under contract and most show very little loyalty to their captains and crew mates. Hillstrand let go a friend last year and even called Keith to ask him to take the guy on board as a crew member. Talk about mixed signals. If Jon didn’t have his brother there, would he have shot his mouth off like he did or taken a cheap shot at Keith around the campfire. Who knows? And I don’t think Andy was that bugged by what Keith did. He didn’t throw any punches. Keith, let’s face it buddy, the other skippers have treated you like an “outsider looking in” over the years because you don’t have 500 years of fishing history in your family genes, you’re not norwegian or a swede or a biker. Your just a hard working guy that wants to provide a living for yourself and your crew. I respect you as well as the other skippers and crewmen (even though there are times they may not deserve it, Hillstrand). This is a dangerous job. Please watch out for each other and learn to move on. Life’s too short on the Bering Sea.

I noticed there was no link to any websites for the new boat F/V Kodiak–Bill and Co. just started a site here, if it is possible to pass on the link–

  7. Bob says:

Well done Capt. Jonathan, from the time bandit.. it was time someone put this dude in his place and gave Capt Keith his dues. Keith has been getting away with bull to much.
Great going buddy Get ER Done…

I’d like to see the discovery channel do a show on the drug use on these boats. The owners of these boats don’t care if their crew is using drugs, as long as they can stay up all night and make them more money. The skipper was asleeep and nobody was at the helm when my son was pulled overboard. If somebody was at the helm and stopped the prop he would be alive.
