Alaska Ranger rescue story airing March 3rd

At 9pm eastern and again at midnight, Discovery is airing ‘Mayday! Bering Sea’, on March 3rd.  It is the real story of the Alaska Ranger and the rescue of 42 crew men.  The US Coastguard was heavily involved and they’ve also posted about it:

…a documentary featuring the rescue of 42 fishermen onboard the Alaska Ranger, a 189-foot fishing vessel that sunk about 800 miles west of Kodiak in the Bering Sea on Easter morning, March 23, 2008. Several Guardians participated in the filming – some were interviewed for their involvement in the rescue and others took part in the re-enactment.
