‘Deadliest Catch’ Tribute Marathon today!

As most of all ‘Deadliest Catch’ fans know…Discovery is airing a ‘Deadliest Catch’ marathon today as a tribute to Phil Harris.  It begins with the best of season 4 and then it follows with Opilio episodes of season 5.

This is a great day to just tune into Discovery whether you have seen these episodes two or four or six times because this is your chance to take part in Discovery’s tribute to one of it’s favorite fishermen–Phil Harris.  We can’t all personally travel to Seattle to give our respects to the passing of the Cornilia Marie skipper but we can certainly fill our homes with the gruff and rough sounds of Phil’s familiar voice by simply flipping on the television and tuning into Discovery.  Let’s all do it, shall we?

F/V Cornelia Marie Crew. Phil Harris (1956-2010).

Hell Yes! It’s on as I type! I get teary eyed everytime they show the “Father, Skipper, Friend” commercial. Phil, I’m gonna miss you.
I cried when I heard the news and am still so sad for the family and the crew and the Discovery Ohana who will miss a dear part of the Ohana of the skippers. Aloha Me Ke Aloha Pumehana Capt. Phi. You were truly wonderful. Aloha oe.
