US COASTGUARD AWARDS
2-3:00pm Nov. 16th
The US Coast Guard has awarded several fishing vessels for their assistance during a high-profile search and rescue case involving the cruise ship EMPRESS OF THE NORTH. The EMPRESS OF THE NORTH ran aground on Rocky Island Lt. in Icy Strait, on May 14th, 2007. The Captains and their vessels responded to the Coast Guard’s request for assistance and played a primary role in the removing of every passenger, directly contributing to the case’s successful outcome.
Awards will be presented by Vice Admiral Charles Wurster, USCG Pacific Area Commander
DEADLIEST CATCH SKIPPERS SPEAK
2:30-3:15pm Nov. 16th
Join us as we bring the hardworking, fun-loving Captains from Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch to the PME Roundtable. Listen as they share stories of their harrowing ordeals and their lighter times on the Bering Sea. Audience members will have ample opportunity to ask the Captains those questions they have always wanted answers to. Of course, as you know, these are commercial fishermen and this is crab season, so if they have not captured their quota by show time, the number of Captains may be limited.
Speaker(s): Blake Painter, Johnathan Hillstrand, Keith Colburn, Phil Harris, and Sig Hansen
Thursday 1:00pm – 2:00pm
