Behind The Scenes of Deadliest Catch

Have you wondered just how the show is put together?  Today I learned that the Original Production filming crew loses almost all their cameras when out at sea.  They operate with two man crews on each fishing vessel and after each day of filming they call in what they captured to executive producer Jeff Conroy and others.  As the information gets downloaded from those filming, a storyboard is created–each fishing vessel being “a story”.  This is the way the production crew starts to craft the storylines that we end up watching.

Of course you’ve heard of the Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch. The show where crab fishermen (as well as cameramen) risk life and limb in the cold waters off of the coast of Alaska. It’s amazing and addicting to watch all the hard work these men go through.

“Jeff Conroy takes us behind the scenes of the Discovery Channel’s reality show “the Deadliest Catch”.  Jeff shares the trials and tribulations of capturing the worlds most dangerous job, catching Alaskan King Crab in the Bering Sea, on tape and delivering one of the most engaging reality shows on television
