    Hi Sig and crew

May the Lord keep you safe and give you calmer waters. I enjoy watching the hauling, bating etc. Lots of entertainment, but I realize the hard work that is put in every minute and I can only imagine the responsibility of being captain. May the Lord Jesus keep all of you safe and may your pots be filled to capacity with good-sized male crab. God bless you all. Keep up the good work.

Sig, Love being able to watch you and your crew! I know it must be a job made more difficult with production people everywhere, but thanks to you, people can watch true action and learn about the Bering Sea. It takes some pretty rugged men to do what you do! I think you are underpaid, but admired for your courage! I missed your visit to Orlando, Fl; only because I didn’t know about it ahead of time!

Please keep the series going-it would be a great disappointment to lose the Deadliest Catch.

My prayers are with you, and all the people who are involved in this show. Keep up the good work!

I have seen many episodes on Discovery, my dad was a fisherman in many years, fishing in danish waters.

  41. mikem said

I wanted to answer the question about why they don’t wear safety lines on desk. I’m not a fisherman but I know work boats. It would be way to much of a hazard to be tethered to a line. Getting snag, tangled in a line while a pot goes down, etc… No way it would be worth it.

My Dad and his brother owned a butcher shop together and the dynamic was much the same as on the Northwestern. Cracks me up. Love & loathe.

You spoke to my dad who was in Florida (also a Captain) on my teenage daughters Pink Razor phone – she still brags about that to everyone. Took pictures and have them hanging around the house and beach place!! We have a boat and fish out of Ocean City, MD! Your Captain skills are amazing and are just mezmorized watching your run that boat! Good Luck and stay safe! Looking forward to many more incrdible seasons! Come back to PA or Ocean city! :)

Greetings from North of Your HomeTown: Blaine WA

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a few good men that has worked the crab seasons up North and on the show. DVR is the best made device, allows me to watch each and every episode when I have the time. I have looked forward to seeing each and everyone (Your crew especially, it holds a bigger place in my heart, hailing from so close) every week. I still have that little bit of hope that one day someone from your crew will stumble into our small little town, and I will get to meet them as well. Have an enjoyable summer, and see you again next year! (Of course I will see you next week again!)

Being from New England, we don’t see a great deal of Scandinavian culture here, so tuning into DC is such a pleasure. I always keep you in my thoughts when you are out on the Bering Sea. Special note to Edgar, you are a ladies man and a man’s man (without being a jerk). Thanks you for allowing filming on your vessel and stay safe!

Well it’s the 4th of July weekend, and here is the Deadliest Catch Marathon on Discovery today and tomorrow. This is my favorite show. I agree with the person that says that now each time I eat a crab leg, I think of the men who risk their life bringing them to our tables. There seems to be less drama on your ship which makes it more fun to watch, you all do act like family, seem fair with each other and the new members of the crew as they have come onboard. So I know all of you aren’t fishing now, at home with your family, enjoy your time off, thank you for your part of the show, and know that we enjoy your show and appreciate all of the ships from the show. May you always have calm waters and following seas and live to be happy old men. Peace be with you.
