    RIP my brothers and sisters
    you lived well

I left in the late 80’s
When all the mud boats were flipping
and JV was king. Last trip was Kodiak to
Mid Coast Marine in Coos Bay.

    Done, believe me, DONE!!

Although being form Denmark, i’m a very big fan of the show, and nothing sends the chills through my spine as much as learning that a crabboat has sunk or is in danger. I was very impressed by the seamanship displayed in the episode where Time Bandit rescued a drowning fisherman. Never being able to get a maritime job myself, i just love watching others do their job on the sea, especially the crew of the crab boats.

Rest in peace to the crew of Big Valley, and to the relatives to those onboard, i am so sorry for your loss.

God speed to all the vessels and their crews remaining in the Bering sea!

It was truly one of the most heartbreaking episodes of the whole show, and such an eye-opener at how dangerous and real this job is. It made quite an impression…

May the families involved be at peace and life go on, despite their great loss.
