The captains are back to recap this year’s crabbing season, and this time they’re having a ball in San Diego. Though they’re in the land of fun and sun, they have serious matters to discuss. And, they discuss one of the most important but often overlooked tasks on a boat: cooking. Larry Hendricks stops in to prepare his favorite crab dish for everyone. EPISODE 2: BERING SEA BROTHERS
This hour explores the many ways in which fishermen and other professionals on the Bering Sea could not survive without each other. Two local tuna fishermen will enthrall the captains with stories of their Pacific adventures, and will even teach them to fish for tuna, San Diego-style. And, cooking up a storm this episode will be Edgar Hansen.

EPISODE 3: FROZEN CRAB
A crab fisherman’s worst enemy? Ice. And, this year’s ice may be the worst that any of them has ever seen. The captains swap stories on how the ice pack affected their fishing. But, ice is only one of the many things that a boat owner must worry about. A discussion ensues about the incredibly high expense of maintaining a fishing vessel and the captains reveal staggering dollar amounts. Sig serves a special Norwegian dish.

EPISODE 4: NO TRESPASSING
This episode begins with Sig reliving his terrifying ice bash into St. Paul harbor to deliver his crab. Keith talks about a different kind of risky move — setting his pots inside Phil’s grounds. A heated debate about ocean territory follows. The captains’ wives come to the table to reveal secrets and little known facts about their husbands, and discuss what it’s like to be the wife of a fisherman. And, Keith steps up to the kitchen to prepare his favorite crab recipe. July 7, 2009
EPISODE 5: LIFE IS GOOD
A celebration of plentiful fishing kicks off the hour. Phil had a great opie season, but it wasn’t without the usual Harris screaming matches. Phil talks about Jake and Josh and how they are maturing and progressing as professional deckhands. Cooking this week is Phil Harris, and as they indulge in some good food, they’ll make some brutally honest assessments of each other and address some interpersonal tensions that have strained relationships to breaking point.
