‘Deadliest Catch’ headed towards Sarasota in July….
Fans from the Florida area may be interested in knowing that once again, some of the ‘Deadliest Catch’ skippers will be headed their way…Sarasota seems to have become a favorite pitstop for these men…
Lido Key, FL (PRWEB) May 19, 2008 — July 6, 2008 the Annual Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Boat races hit Lido Beach. Feel the excitement as the powerboats race offshore right before your eyes. This year’s race is approximately 6.5 miles from New Pass to Big Pass and the two heats take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
If you can’t make it to Lido Beach, take a free bus ride from Ed Smith Stadium to Sarasota’s bay front area, next to Centennial Park. Visitors to Powerboats by the Bay will have the opportunity to see a simulcast of the Grand Prix race, view the dry pit area (where the powerboats get placed in the water), meet the drivers and crews race teams and enjoy powerboats on display. Between heats, enjoy live entertainment, food and drinks. The events will include special appearances from Captain Keith Colburn and Crew from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch.”
