Behind The Scenes of Deadliest Catch

Have you wondered just how the show is put together?  Today I learned that the Original Production filming crew loses almost all their cameras when out at sea.  They operate with two man crews on each fishing vessel and after each day of filming they call in what they captured to executive producer Jeff Conroy and others.  As the information gets downloaded from those filming, a storyboard is created–each fishing vessel being “a story”.  This is the way the production crew starts to craft the storylines that we end up watching.
